Digital Art Graphics Ltd is committed to promoting sustainability.
Concern for the environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to Digital Arts` professional activities and the management of the organisation.
We aim to follow and to promote good sustainability practice, to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities and to help our clients and partners to do the same.
Our Sustainability Policy is based upon the following principles:
To comply with, and exceed where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
To integrate sustainability considerations into all of our business decisions.
To ensure that all staff are fully aware of Digital Arts’ Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.
To minimise the environmental impact on of all office and transportation activities.
To make clients and suppliers aware of our Sustainability Policy, and encourage them to adopt sound sustainable management practices.
To review, annually report, and to continually strive to improve our sustainability performance.
In order to put these principles into practice we will:
Minimise the amount we have to physically travel to meetings where practical, by means of Telecommunication, skype and email conversations.
These options are also often more time efficient, while not sacrificing the benefits of regular contact with clients and partners.
To offset the CO₂ emissions caused by all Digital Art staff. Reduce the need for our staff to travel by supporting alternative working arrangements, including travelling by public transport when ever possible, home working etc.
Minimise our use of paper and other office consumables, for example by Draft and black ink print only onto recycled paper.
Reduce the energy consumption of office lighting by purchasing energy efficient light bulbs and good housekeeping
Purchase fair-trade and/or organic beverages.including bulk buy consumables which will reduce on wrapping. Tap water only. No bottled water.
Only use water based and eco solvent inks in production of signage.
Where possible arrange through our recycling partners for the reuse or recycling of office and factory waste, including PVC Banners, paper, plastic substrates, computer supplies and redundant equipment.
Use recyclable substrates, ie Paper based and not pvc based materials where possible.
Working practices and advice to clients
Collect all substrates from Exhibitions and events for re-use and recycling.
Reduce – Re-use – Recycle
Ensure that any associates that we employ take account of sustainability issues in their advice to clients. Which would include advise on using lighter weight pvc or using paper based materials. Also advice on how best to re-use generic, none directional signage for future events, which would entail cleaning, rolling and storing of banners until next used.
Alternatively and more cost effectively, recycle the banners into a range of products. Ie, children`s play areas, farm bedding etc.
A copy of Digital Arts` Sustainability Policy will be included in all our proposals to clients.
Results of our measurements will be detailed in the annual report which can be viewed on our website www.digitalartgraphics.co.uk
“It is our aim to make every exhibition and event as environmentally friendly as possible”
